I ve been having anxiety and shortness of breath. But that isn t all, I also have been getting heartburn and I can feel my heart thumping and my heart rate increases for no reason often. General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I understand your concern. Anxiety is a normal part of our emotions and a an anticipatory reaction to stressful life circumstances, however, when it becomes a constant presence and takes over it can be a debilitating condition or disorder, interfering with your daily activity and affecting the quality of life. The heartburn and increased heart rate seem to also be part of this condition. Sometimes anxiety seems to come out of nowhere and tends to be pervasive. Therefore, getting treatment as soon as possible is a priority. I recommend you talk to your doctor about how you feel and get a complete checkup in order to determine whether your anxiety is the primary cause or a consequence of another organic condition. Try to minimize stressful factors in your life and adopt a healthier lifestyle, consisting of a routine that suits you best. Physical activity can be of great help.

Wishing you all the best.
