How Can Arthritis In The Legs Be Treated?

I take Mobic 15mg for arthritis. I m not sure if it is helping, I still hurt. I take a Tynol extra strength with it and during the night when I wake up hurting. I m fine sitting but hurts to stand and walk. If I set too long that hurts too. Can the Mobic not be working? Do certain foods hurt me too?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

What is your age?

I want to confirm whether it is age related Osteoarthritis or not. If it is age related, stop above medications and start tablet Aceclofenac 12 hourly after meal.

Apply hot compressions for temporary relief. Do physiotherapy to make muscle around knee joint strong. Use knee cap or band while walking for support.

Also do blood investigation for rheumatoid arthritis. Otherwise consult orthopedic surgeon for further investigation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Hiren Hirpara
