Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You need medications and rest to hip joint, no weight bearing till pain is controlled local steroid injection may be given according to your rheumatologist's opinion. Physiotherapy should be added slowly when pain has settled down. Cracking of the joints suggest decrease in intra articular space due to swollen bones/decreased fluid in joint. These conditions need expert advise after detailed evaluation of the problem.

I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us in every time.
