I currently have an arthritic knee that I can no longer straighten out completely without great discomfort. I currently take anti inflammatory drugs, exercise regularly 9being careful not to over exert my knee. is there anything I can do to straighten out my knee short of surgery?

Hello,

Surgery is the best approach you can do to straighten your legs. But if you insist me to tell alternatives then I would say you to go for physiotherapy. There they put sandbags and make you walk which has helped in many cases. In fact it is the better alternative.

But you need to tolerate little pain and cooperate with their procedures. They actually do quite lot procedures which can help you on the course, kindly stick to it. If the pain is more you can take some painkillers available in the market temporarily.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
