General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I can understand that this must have been really tough for you.

If I were your doctor, I would try the maximum dosage of Lamictal especially if you are tolerating it well and do not have any rash from it. Lithium is another medicine that can be tried under close supervision.

I would suggest that when you visit the psychiatrist next time, inform him about TD and your preference for no antipsychotics. There are many medications that can help with bipolar depression that do not belong to the antipsychotic group.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
