How Can Bleeding From Tonsil Be Stopped?

Hello A year ago I noticed that my one tonsil had been out of place, it was hanging on my throat and i could feel it and i can still feel it today. I did not pay much attention to it because it was not painful just uncomfortable. About a month ago I started coughing and it has not stopped and weeks ago I noticed blood in my saliva only to find out that the tonsil is bleeding, it is still not painful but uncomfortable. Please help me figure this out. Kind Regards

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Bleeding tonsil has to be treated as early as possible and removal of that tonsil may be more effective. Repeated infection of tonsil leads to fever, sore throat and bleeding some time. So no need to worry much but have treatment for that soon.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Nirav Nimavat, General & Family Physician
