How Can Bleeding In The Lips After Lip Piercing Be Treated?
Hello, i just had gotton a new lip piercing that must have punctured an artery when it was done it caused uncontrollable bleeding, the piercer then put an unbarely amount of presure on my lip n caused it to tremble..4days late I smoked weed n it started bleeding uncontrollably I had to rush t the hospital, it was a bloodclot...it stopped, no sign of infection decided to leave it in...smoked again saturday night started bleeding again...hospital again this time no bloodclot but i had a fever n must have been getting infected..we took the piercing out im on antibiotics now, I gor one stitch on my inner and outer lip...now that thats done......the dissolve stitch...will there b any problems if I smoke now?

There is a possibility that still there is some inflammation present and the healing is not complete. So there can be bleeding again if you smoke. So my suggestion is to avoid smoking as of now. Also do cool compresses over the area. Avoid eating something very hot too to avoid any increase in inflammation.. Avoid piercing the lip again. Also once get your bleeding time, clotting time tests done. Follow up with the doctor and once the piercing site heals considerably then only smoke otherwise wait.
