Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My son is 23 years old and has been diagnosed with a Diffuse Astrocytoma Glioma Tumor of the brain. His tumor is too large to do surgery and he also has 3 spots on his brain. Radiation will be done for 5-6 weeks and 6 rounds of chemo will be done for 8 weeks each. A biopsy revealed an IDH mutation. Doctors told us the best chemo would be PCV - a combination of procarbazine, vincristine and ccnu or lomustine. They told us the tumors could reoccur in ten years as these medications are poisonous to the body. The alternative choice is Temador. Which one in your opinion is best?
