How Can Bronchitis Be Treated While On Treatment For Bipolar Disorder?
Hello DR. I have bi polar disorder as well as several other mental diagnosis . I took my bedtime meds of Geodon, Xanax, Gabapentin, and Triliptel. I was also diagnosed yesterday with bronchitis that I have neb treatments to take as needed for wheezing. But my cough tonight has been terribly nagging and I took a dose of Cheratussin I was prescribed. I m not gonna OD am I?
In bronchitis, bronchoconstriction might present so bronchodilator drug can be prescribed. You have been prescribed nebulization treatment for that, complete its course.
Secondly, post bronchitis dry cough can occur for which you have been prescribed a cough suppressant which can be taken. If no improvement is seen, then chest x-ray and spirometry investigation needs to be done by a pulmonologist.
Regularly take treatment for bipolar mood disorder also with time you will improve.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Parth Goswami
