Hi. I keep getting bumps on my vaginal area. Later they turn in to blisters mostly from rubbing against my underwear . They might be from shaving I am not sure. This happen few times before. I used ointment,Oils ,creams to help heal the area. Is there something I can use to help treat or prevent this problem?

Hello,

I read your message and understood your medical problem.

I see you have skin lesions in your genital area that start like bumps than progress to blisters. If you can send me a photo of your lesions it would be very helpful for me to give a proper opinion. Please add further information regarding other symptoms you may have.

The treatment it is based on the cause. Anyway, there are some actions you must take no matter the cause. Avoid wearing underwears that rub the vulva, choose those made of cotton as they help to keep your genitals dry and cool. Keep frequent warm baths. Maintain proper hygiene and use proper techniques of hair removal.

Most of the times genital bumps are not serious and do not need special medical treatment. Shaving manners can be possible cause especially if not applied good hygienic manners.

If there is any discharge from the lesions or vaginal discharge, other symptoms suggesting sexually transmitted disease etc., then further investigations are required.

Send me a photo, and start with hygienic measures first. If this does not resolve your problem, consult further with dermatologist.

Hope this is helpful for you.
