Hi
Thanks for posting your query on HCM
I have read and understood your concern
Methylprednisolone is a steroid and may help. However, burning sensation in your chest may point to some gastritis or GERD.I will advise:
-You continue with your drugs as prescribed
-You may add methylprednisolone but not to be taken for long.It is a steroidal anti-inflammatory and will help in your symptoms
-You may also add a proton pump inhibitor like pantoprazole and an antacid like maalox
If symptoms persist, you see your Doctor for reevaluation
Hope this will hep.You may write back if more concerns
Best regards
