Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was diagnosed with cellulitis in October of 2016 and took two prescriptions of antibiotics. When diagnosed, I had swelling and puffiness around my left eye. The antibiotics quelled the swelling and puffiness but I seem to still have some sympthons of the cellulitis because the left side of my face close to my eye feels stressed(for lack of better description). What should I do and/or what kind of doctor should I see?
Well cellulitis may be caused by infections- mainly bacteria or fungus. It is needed to know whether you are diabetic and whether you have any other illness that causes immunity to go down. You need to see an ophthalmologist and / or and infectious diseases &Medicine doctor as this can be sight threatening is neglected but can be cured if appropriately treated
