Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My sister was recently diagnosed with stage 1 cervical cancer and is having surgery in 10 days. What kind of surgery will most likely be done? She also had breast cancer in July of 2014 and had a double mastectomy. No radiation or chemo done with that.
I think the first stage cervical cancer can be cured with cervical conisation and associated probably with radiotherapy or chemotherapy if lymph nodes are touched.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Olgeta Xhufka , General & Family Physician
