Hi. Thanks for the query.. Steroid based creams if used continuously for long can cause serious side effects and dry lips with pigmentation is due to withdrawal side effects of steroid cream.. As you have stopped using steroid cream, you should not use it again and consult a Skin doctor for an evaluation.. It takes time for the skin to recover from the side effects and you will have to cope up with it.. You should apply thick coat of Petroleum jelly over the lips many times a day.. Do cool compresses over the lips as it improves blood flow.. You should avoid licking or sucking the lips as it further makes them dry.. Drink plenty of water to maintain hydration. Take multivitamin supplements.. You can also apply cooled aloevera gel over the lips.. Exfoliate your lips daily twice a week.. Hope this helps.. Regards.
