How Can Chemical Skin Burn In The Vagina Be Treated?
A few days ago i bathed with a bath oil and it irritated my vaginal area. I used a hydrocortisone ointment and it burned like crazy. Now the area is swollen, with white patches and bumps and very painful. How can this be treated? Is this considered a chemical burn? I do not have a discharge and it does not smell.
Vaginal skin irritation during bathing is normal if the chemical content is too strong or irritating. Don't apply hydrocortisone to the mucosa. it will increase irritation and itching.
Now for treating irritation apply any normal oil or lotion without any chemical. Drink enough water to flush the chemical from vagina. don't scratch much around the area for itching.
