Helo, please I had a baby about 1 month ago and I ve been having some chest pains and my blood pressure also went high. Right now, I feel my heart beats faster than normal and I feel choked in the throat, I find it difficult to sleep at night. Please, what should I do. General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You should continue to take nifedipine and colchicine. The pregnancy-related high blood pressure can get to normal in after postpartum recovery period. I also recommend you to do a thyroid hormone balance because you may have hyperthyroidism causing these symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Olgeta Xhufka , General & Family Physician
