How Can Chills And Abdominal Pain Be Treated?

Hello, my 9 year old daughter has come down with the chills. Her stomach hurts and feels like she wants to vomit and throat hurts a little bit. She says its ki d of hard to breathe and feels like there is pressure on her chest. Is this something i need to rush her in to the doctors for? Or something i should just wait and see if it gets worse?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Chills and abdominal pains with nausea most of the time are due to a viral infection and in most cases it is self limiting and improves within 5-7 days but if your daughter has chest tightness and is short of breath than you will need to sent her to see a doctor soon to rule out more important causes of these symptoms. Even abdominal pain and vomiting in few cases might mean important causes that need to be seen by a doctor and ruled out.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
