Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi doctor, I have been suffering with ibs since 1.5 year. Have alternate constipation and loose motions. Plus mucus is passed through my stools. I am currently on Darolac IBS dosage one time a day. Felt better in the beginning but again feeling not well all the time. Please help me what to do.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. I understand your concern. IBS cause including abdominal pain and changes in the pattern of bowel movements without any evidence of underlying damage. I would suggest to consult the authorized gastroenterologist and take proper treatment.
Following treatment will helpful:
Tablet imodium for dairrhea Tablet dicyclomine Tablet imipramine at bedtime Tablet rifaxim, capsule sporolac. Sublingual tablet of Vitamin B12 and folic acid
Take soluble fiber like senna. Take small frequent meal rather than large meal. Drink plenty of water (4 to 5 L/day). Avoid spicy/oily/fatty food, take more yogurt and butter milk. Do regular exercise like walking, running, 45 minutes in the morning followed by meditation for 20 minutes. Avoid stress.
Hope I have answered your query. Contact further if follow up needed.
Best regards, Dr. Sagar
