Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
In some cases, bowel movements after surgery are reduced which is responsible for constipation. Besides in children bowel frequency of 1 per 2 to 3 days can happen because of improper food consumption.
So, it is better to start with proper feeding techniques and if required consult a pediatrician for proper diet advice. If not relieved then consult the surgeon for barium meal test to find out other pathology.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Hiren Hirpara
