How Can Chronic Constipation In An Infant Be Treated?
My daughter 2yr old is constipated since 8 mnts.though she drinks only little Milk..eats fruits and healthy diet.passes soft potty but in small amount several times a day.her anus is painful after passing stools.laxative hasn t helped much.what could be the problem please help doc.
It would be best for her not to use a laxative too often because these medications eventually cause constipation. They stop the bowel from working on its own and lead to laxative related constipation.
It would be best for her to see a gastroenterologist, these are doctors that specialize in stomach and intestines (including the anus)
I hope this helps
