Hi my name is Francesca my son is 5 months old and he was a NICU baby is on oxygen and has a G -tube in his stomach he has a nasty cough and I ve been pulling a lot of mucus out of his nose i got a cough medicine for him but it says for six months they told me it was good for him to use I just have to see how much dosage to give him and I was wondering would this be safe for him the medicine is called Hyland s baby nighttime mucus + cold relief

Hello,

There can be low immunity, high grade respiratory tract infection as pneumonia or so forth for such chronic cough in a toddler.
He requires intensive hospital care to cure the underlying infection of the respiratory tract with intravenous antibiotics, decongestant syrup, bronchodilator, oxygen support, mucolytics and nutritional care recover faster.
