How Can Chronic Cough And Inflammation In The Lungs Be Treated?
My husband has inflammation of the lungs and coughs so hard that over the past week has had this happen 3 times where his face turns bright red and he goes limp and non responsive and on his last episode he started shaking-they have only lasted like anywhere from 10-45 seconds then he stars at me and says what just happened, he saw his dr yesterday and he gave him a shot of steroids put him on antibiotics and gave him cough syrup and a inhaler and wants him to see a neurologist, I worry cause at what point do I need to dial 911 thank you
He may be suffering from acute respiratory tract infection with seizure disorder. Seizures may be due to hypoxia during episode of asthma or may be due to infection of brain or idiopathic.
Yes you have to continue bronchodilators and anti-histamine. For seizures you need anti-epileptic therapy. Please consult your physician/neurologist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
