How Can Chronic Cough And Low Grade Fever Be Treated?
My husband is achy, has a dry cough and has a low grade fever for past couple days. Yesterday it did go over 101 but is sitting around 99.4 now. He is taking AlkaSeltzer cold med. I say he should go see a doctor but he says just wait it out. I think he may have picked something up on vacation or flying home. What do you think?
As per your complain you have problem cough and fever that may be because of respiratory infection.
Do a complete blood cell count and microscopic examination is helpful for further diagnosis. Drink more water per day. Warm water gargles.. Avoid spicy food ,fry food and chilled food.. Eat more fresh fruits and vegetables.. Steam inhalation helpful. If infection is present than start proper antibiotics under doctor's suggestion. Chest X ray can done for further diagnosis.. Consult a pulmonologist for further diagnosis and treatment plan. Detail history and investigation give exact idea about problems. Treat underling cause.
Get well soon.. Thank you.
