My mother 65 yrs old has a lung disorder.We are in Bahrain.It has been about 8 months she has cough.We have been to 3 different drdms who prescribed antibiotics. 2 months ago the cough was more and a pulmonologist advised xray, he told that she is recovering from pneumonia and there are some patches in xray which are scanty.He gave her a shot of hydrocortisone and she recivered. Now 3 weeks before she had fever and cough exacerbation , the same pulmonologist prescribed levofloxacin but the cough did not subside then after 10 days we again went to the same pulmonologist, he gave another shot of hydrocortisone and did a sputum culture.The sputum culture results showed moderate candida spcs for which the dr prescribed oral itraconazole.Now i am really worried about my mother.We will be coming to India.I want to take her for consultation. pls guide me.
