How Can Chronic Cough Be Treated?

I had eye surgery 2 weeks ago - supposed to be in and out procedure - oxygen levels dropped so they did a chest x-ray and found that I had pneumonia. I was put on pills 2 first day, 1 each day for 3 days. Got a little better and went for my eye followup and was put on sulfamethoxaz?? (can t ready the rest of the picture) were these good for pneumonia? I am starting to cough again, no fever - I have a million things wrong with me - type 2 diabetes, asthma, sleep apnea, overweight.

Hello,

You think it is million problems for you but if you listen to other then probably you will get settled with your problems. I know your condition is considerable but none of them does damn emergency and bad condition at all.

All this diabetes, asthma etcetera are treatable and nothing serious at all. First, consider that in mind.

As far that sulfa medication is concerned, it is an antibiotic, so if you take that your pneumonia will also be cured. It has an adjuvant effect. So you do not have to worry about it at all.

Everything will get better trust me and take the medication with a new set of mindset.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
