General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,my name is dr.Dorina Gurabardhi.I understand your concern.
Chronic, persistent coughs may be caused by medical problem such as allergies, asthma, or acid reflux.
Some advices that I can give to you are:
-Use decongestants to relieve nasal congestion by shrinking swollen nasal tissue and reducing mucus production.
-Use cough suppressants like dextromethorphan
-Use a humidifier ate home
-Drink liquids
See a doctor to diagnose properly the cause of the cough.

Hope my answer was helpful. If you have any other question Ill be glad to help.
Regards,
