Hi.. My baby will turn one year in 10 days. 5 days back he had fever. Paediatrician suggested calpol and T minic drops for two days. Fever subsided in two days but he developed cough after that. I stopped medicines after giving them for two days. His cough has increased now. Please suggest a recourse.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,my name is dr.Dorina Gurabardhi.I understand your concern.
Some advices that I can give to you are:
1)Moist air can help children cope with croup; try a warm, steamy bathroom, or cool morning air.
2)Use of a cool mist humidifier
3)Occasionally a single dose of an anti-inflammatory medication dexamethasone (Decadron) is indicated.
4)give to your child liquids and rest
Hope my answer was helpful. If you have any other question Ill be glad to help.
Regards,
