My mother is 91 years old. She has high blood pressure. She has a cough that takes a lot out of her. Here is a list of medicines that she is taking. Some of them her doctor gave her to help her cough. Alenfronate Sodium,Benzonatate 100 Mg, Olopatadine HCl, Lovastatin 40 Mg, Ipratropium Bromide Nasal Solution, D3 1000IU, Amlodipine Besylate 2.5 Mg, Loratadine 10 Mg, Metoprolol Tartrate 50 Mg, Levetiracetam 250 Mg, multivitamin, Stool Softener, Hair, Skin & Nail, Low Dose Aspirin, Asa/ Dipyride Er 12 hr, Folic Acid 400 mcg, and Chest Congestion Relief tablet. My sister looked up her medicines and found that her blood pressure medicine - Valsartan 80 Mg cause a person to cough. I asked the doctor to change it. She is still coughing. I need help for her. It affects her eating at times and sleeping. I am giving her Robitussin DM to help with the cough. Do you have any suggestions. Are there combinations of her medicines that could be causing the coughing?
