How Can Chronic Diarrhea And Fatigue Be Treated?

Yes, I have chronic diarrhea - have been seen by a gastroenterolist 2 years ago - have a condition that displays itself as a barrier of cells in my entire intestine - probably to keep out foods that I am allergic to. I was told that I am probably lactose intolerant . I have been on a lactose free diet for 2 years and also take diphenatrop when diarrhea gets bad. Now nothing is working. I am also exhausted also. Just had a blood test - elevation of white blood cells. Did have an eye infection which was treated with drops but I still feel horrible and exhausted and still have diarrhea.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

At this point I would suggest you to do the celiac tests, it is an autoimmune disease with gluten intolerance. The only cure is to eliminate gluten from the diet.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka
