I have a birth defect duplicating upper collecting systems bilaterally. Which means I have two ureters I have had left ureter reimplanted x2 I am 53, my physician said that the reflux has caused damage to my kidneys. When I had a lot of weight on me , I would get UTI s every month. Lost weight, haven t had any problem until the last few years. I don t have insurance, trying to get my disability, but could be another year or so. I cannot pay for a dr, as I have no income, and don t qualify for insurance cause if no insurance. But anyways, my left side hurts quite a bit. I am having sugar problems, my neurologist is treating me for MS and possible Parkinson s. So....my question is. With the birth defect and the damage it has done, is this considered chronic kidney disease? I have chronic hydronephrosis , anemia, blood in urine which they say this will always be like this, pylonephritis. I m really worried, I have not been able to go to a doctor for almost a year and looks like it might be another year before I get disability. Thank you
