Hi. My son has very severe psoriasis and has been on meds. He has now developed a liver problem and has had to stop the tablets. He is covered in scans every where & his skin smells like raw meat. He has an app with a consultant in 3 weeks time. What can be do ? He is in do much pain with the skin being do sore
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of chronic psoriasis which could be due to hormonal changes, stress and clogging of skin pores. It is defective mechanism of skin to react to external stimuli . Its is very important to find out trigger factor and avoid it. But in your case the symptoms are due to psoriasis . Topical application of Clindamycin gels along with Benzoyl Peroxide gel and using salicylic acid cream. Consult dermatologist . Doctor may examine physically take skin patch for lab test . Doctor may prescribe topical corticosteroid , retinoids , calcineurin inhibitors . Doctor may also recommend goeckerman therapy and light therapy. Do not scratch the lesion .
