Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Chronic tinnitus (higher pitched noise) ears feel somewhat like cotton in them, has been getting progressively worse over past few months. Seems to be more challenging to hear some conversations spoken at a specific lower tone, as the words seems to muffle together, but not always. Have had dental work more recently, including 1 molar implant but dentist does not feel this is contributing factor. I feel the stuffiness in ears has been going on for a while longer. I have had on/off moments of tinnitus but never this regular consistency. I feel the clogged feeling has been going on longer and the chronic tinnitus more recent over past few months.
Hi, I have read your question and I understand your concern. Chronic tinnitus may be caused by a variety of conditions. Many times, treating the underlying condition resolves the problem. I would recommend you seeing an ENT specialist. He will be able to define the cause for your condition, and lead through the different treatments available for you. Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help. Wishing you good health.
