Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Both drugs you are having are likely to cause
nausea and
vomiting and can be the reason you are having the vomiting. On the other hand you need to take them for the problem you have with the
liver and bile production.
To best help with the problem is to have small frequent amount of food during the day, this means you will need to eat little food several times a day, instead of having 3 normal meals you can have 5-6 very small meals. This will help the stomach be less overloaded and less sensitive to the food and reduce vomiting.
Try to avoid fatty food as these make the stomach more irritable and also make food stay longer in the stomach. Avoiding acid and spicy food, avoiding fried or fast food and processed food is helpful as well.
If you are smoking,
smoking cessation might be of help and if you use alcohol, stopping it or at least keeping it to 1-2 drinks a day (not more) might be of help.
There are drugs that can be taken as well but this means you will need to take them daily to help with the symptoms so if you can help it with the above measures would be more beneficial.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Kind regards,
Antoneta Zotaj, MD
