How Can Clitoris Infection Be Treated While Suffering From An Autoimmune Disorder?

I struggle with an autoimmune disorder that makes it difficult to fight infections. I fight staph in my nose pretty regularly, this time I also seemed to have contracted a strep b infection on my clitoris. The PA gave me Clindamycin. I tolerated it well stomach wise for 7 days, however had a ridiculous reaction to my clitoris. It has swollen 2x normal size. She had me quit the antibiotic and gave me a 6 day steroid treatment. I finished the steroid yesterday but my clitoris is still huge. Its not terribly painful, just sore and unsightly. What do I do next? The PA I saw was at the Infectious Disease Center, not my gyro.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

As I see through your query you have seen changes after the treatment.

So, at this point, I suggest using only anti-inflammatory medication such as Ibuprofen.

I also suggest maintaining good hygiene.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
