How Can Clogged Ears Be Treated?

Ive been having clogged ears for the past several weeks. I haven t experienced any pain or discharge but its just clogging in the ears especially on the right side. Ive tried peroxide and i went to the clinic and they gave me some amoxicillin and neither of those worked for me. The clogging use to be on and off throughout the day but now its pretty consistant. Please help me!

Hi Dear,

Thanks for your query. as per your query you have clogged ears which occurs due to ear infection, sinusitis infection through Eustachian tube and lead to temporary hearing loss and could be due to recurring otitis media.

I would suggest you to again visit ENT specialist So that he/she may start treatment by prescribing antibiotic(amoxicillin) course, perform cleansing of ear and treat infection like sinusitis if it is there. Give warm compresses to ear 2-3 times a day ,use ear drops containing antibiotics(if you have) and take rest.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari
