How Can Cold And Fever Be Treated?

I have a cold and a slight fever. I take one low dose aspirin every day, as I have for over fifty years. I take one 20 mg tab of Simvastatin every day. Is it OK to take a couple of regular strength aspirin once in a great while without causing problems with the Simvastatin?

Hello,

If you have cold and fever, then why do you take aspirin? Is anyone prescribed you about that drug? Do not take any drug without a doctor prescription.

If you have cold and fever now, then I would suggest you take levocetirizine drug for 5 days which could be better decongestant and solve your cold and fever. But this can be taken in one episode.

If it is still recurrent symptoms, then get your ENT checked up to know if there is any polyp or something in your nose or any turbinate which would have enlarged causing you the symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
