General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Recofast is an anti-allergic with Pseudoephedrine, which needs to be avoided by children below 10 years and elderly people. Consult it with your treating doctor, who would advise smaller doses/ short courses or change of the medication. I feel antibiotic is an essential for a recurrent fever. Your treating doctor would be the final authority to advise.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
