How Can Cold And Sore Throat Be Treated While Suffering From Hypertension?
I have a script for Promethazine and hesitate to fill & take it since I take meds for hypertension. I am on three blood pressure meds. Right now I have a cold for two days. Aches, tickle throat, sneezing and clear runny nose. Feel weak. Advise, thanks.

Hello,
It is due to local inflammation as in case of pharyngitis. As first-line management, you can do warm saline gargles for symptomatic relief. Generally, the symptoms will settle in a couple of days.
If symptoms persist better to consult an ENT specialist and get evaluated.
