How Can Completion Of A Medical Abortion Be Confirmed?

Hello doctor, my gf took abortion pills with doctor s prescription on 15th Arpril 2017, now its 23rd of May bt she didnt got her periods and today morning when she took pregnancy test via preganews a very light test line appeared and again after 4-5 hours she took two more tests bt the results were negative, what does this mean? Is there chances of pregnancy kit showing wrong results as after abortion pills we did sonography test and nothing came up, so please let me know what is the reason of different pregnancy tests.

Hi I think if ultrasound is normal and not showing any retained products of pregnancy, it is normal. Pregnancy test can come positive till one month after abortion. If two tests were negative, then there is nothing to worry about. Sometimes pregnancy test can be false positive also due to hcg present in body due to previous pregnancy. Hope it helps.
