How Can Constant Diarrhea Be Cured?

I need a gastroenteritis because I have ibs-d. I have had a colonoscopy in October and my doctor said everything is normal and the biopsy is normal. My problem is constant diarrhea, to the point where I can't leave the house. I'm taking Viberzi currently and supplement it with Imodium. I've been true to the letter with the FODMA P diet. I'm so tired of being sick!!

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my surgical experience, the issue with chronic diarrhea is of multimodality approach due to many of the systems may be working together as intestine motility, hormones, local or central control of neuronal pathways.

A normal colonoscopy does not rule out everything possible and detailed case analysis is a must to proceed for the curative approach via other supportive facts and files.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
