How Can Constant Fever During Dialysis Be Treated?

Hi my father is on dialysis for the past 8years. Last 10 days he has been having fever till 100 and than he takes medicines and it drops back and taking 1gram Ceftriaxone and levofloxacin (250mg in the morning and 250mg in the evening)started from last Sunday. His condition is the same. His CRP on 12.3.17 was 43.45 and than 41.75 on 14.3.17. On 22.3.17 it s 42.7 and ESR 75. I got X-ray pics from week back and latest on my phone as pictures and can share. But the chest has become more cloudier than a week back. What do you suggest.

Hi,

Consult your nephrologist and get evaluated to rule out possibilities like an infection.

As of now, antipyretic like Acetaminophen can be tried.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
