How Can Constant Neck Pain After An Accident Be Treated?
Hey, a few years ago I had an accident where I was concussed (mild) and it caused neck pain that I ve had ever since. I also have a habit of sitting on my tailbone on chairs, floors, etc. Both are in constant pain and today while sitting on the couch I had a random jolt in my upper back (left and right shoulder blades) which moved to my collarbone then neck and lingered for the rest of the day. Help? - Bethany
Hi Bethany, thanks for your question in HCM and sorry to hear about the pain. May I know if you have consulted any physician or orthopedic surgeon post accident for the pain. If not, then it is better to consult as you might need to do X Ray or scan of your cervical vertebra (neck). A complete general physical examination along with X Ray reports only can confirm the diagnosis. If everything is normal, then mild physiotherapy, using hot water bag, applying analgesic spray or ointment, taking pain reliever tablets might help the pain to reduce. I have the above answer is helpful to you. Get well soon.
