How Can Constipation And Stomach Ache Be Treated?

My 9 year old is complaining he can’t have a bowel movement and has stomach pains. He wants Miralax but he currently is on Tamiflu (day 3). I am inclined to let him ride it out without the Miralax. He had been vomiting for two days but able to keep down food and water for the past two days. My email is YYYY@YYYY

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Constipation may be due to low fiber diet or increased intake of processed carbohydrates. Vomiting may be due to gastric irritation or infection.

Until examination is done, it is difficult to say what it is. Take high fiber diet, use Metamucil or Benefiber for bulk formation. Use tablet Zofer for five days.

If symptoms not improved, then please consult your doctor as he will examine and treat you accordingly.
