How Can Constipation In An Infant Be Treated?

Hello, I have a 2 month old son and he is currently drinking Similac Advance OptiGro, and I think the milk might be messing with his stomach, he is not having bowel movements everyday and when he does he is straining and screaming to get it out. What do I need to do?

Hello,

Your baby might be having any problem with the abdomen. You need to take him to the pediatric doctor. We can never give medicine to babies without proper examination.

They are not adults to tell you that they have pain nor they can tell you any other symptoms but only cry. So, kindly take him to the doctor.

Hope you understand the constraints of online consultation. I don't like to take chance to advise you anymore without examination.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
