How Can Cough And Cold In A Toddler Be Treated?

My baby is 2 year old. She has cough and cold (runny nose) from last week. First I have given maxtra drops and then she is coughing badly after 3 days doctor suggested to stop giving maxtra and start mucolite drops. But after giving mucolite she is vommiting sometimes and runny nose again? Is it ok?

As per my clinical experience, the toddler requires

@ Care of local part hygiene
@ Inhalation of vapors of boiled water with tincture benzoin added
@ Antibiotic and cough formula syrup
@ Anti emetic in case of persistent vomiting
@ Avoid dairy products, excess sugar
@ Avoid exposure to pollen, dust in house or outside

* A regular consulting with pediatrician and above measures will help
best recovery.
