How Can Cough And Cold In An Infant Be Treated?

my baby is 1year and 3months and shes having a cough and colds i had given her NASATAP drops for 2weeks but her colds and cough is not been cured what medicine i can give to her aside from what her pedia had given..she is a g6pd baby..thank you for the answer

Hello,

As per your query, your infant has symptoms of cold and cough which is due to the chest infection and it could be due to throat infection as well. You need not worry. I would like to suggest you the following
-Give child mild steam inhalation with great care.
-You should avoid giving the child any cold carbonated beverages.
-You should visit pediatrician once and get it examined completely like throat swab tests a blood test.
-Get X-ray chest done.

Well if she vomits immediately then there is no need to worry. Start treatment after proper examination. Till then take the proper course of antibiotics. Avoid giving any outside food to the child.
