How Can Cracked Corners Of The Lips Be Treated?

corners of my lips r cracking..its all red and skin is getting darker. visited a doc few mnths back for the same..suggested chapstex balm and vitamin be.. got ok ..but keeps coming back..now its not working with chaptex balm too..doc said its angular chelitis.. am in india.. wud like a dermatologist in india to give me an answer

Hi,

Yes, what you said look like angular cheilitis, which is mostly caused by iron deficiency. Besides, it can also be caused by B complex and Vitamin deficiency or some time zinc deficiency as well.

I would suggest you should use good multivitamins for a few months and also Iron tablet. If it does not help then you should see a dermatologist.
