General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Off course you do have to take Vitamin D tablets as advised. It would be good if you take a multivitamin capsule / tablet one per day, after food in the morning. You may do light exercises. Regarding the spinal damage, please do consult an Orthopedic surgeon, who after the required investigations, will advise you on the management.

Thank You!
