Hi! I started treating my 10 year mental problem a little less than a month ago. I was diagnosed with depression, even though I felt depressed only when I wasnt active. At that time I slept all the time. When I was working or active whole day I didnt fell depression. But overall I was having bad memory, bad concentration, low libido, no apetite, huge anhedonia and emotional flatlining - this two are the two things that is hard to live for me. I cant find pleasure no matter what I do. I also cannot laugh from my heart or pursue happiness, because nothing feels good or enjoyable..I have a fake laugh all the time. But I did have some bad feelings, even there were little good ones, i wasnt completely emotionless. I am currently on medication Cymbalta 60mg for three weeks (for serotonin and noradrenaline ) for treating depression. I have side effects like high pulse and blood pressure..still haven t gone. I had a little libido before, now its even lower, errections are slower and sleep is even worse (not enough) when i m active durring my day. My anhedonia and emotional flatlining/emptiness are even worse. I dont care for things now, have no bad feelings an I am too calm after Cymbalta. The good thing about cymbalta is my movements are quicker and I dont feel depressed when I am off work and I dont need 12 hour sleep durring weekends like before and I have better digestion. And I can concentrate better, but its hard to do anything because I have no motivation. One week ago I also got abilify 5mg for dopamine to take it with cymbalta - i said to the doctor if maybe this what iam going throug is dopamine deficiency. Are the side effects im having maybe because of too much serotonin and my problem is dopamine? After abilify i maybe had a couple of emotions like before i got sick..but like very fogy and lasted only for second or two. I was reading a story about someone that when he went on Wellbutrin he stated to feel better, he had same problem as me, anhedonia, omotional emptiness and low libido. Do you think wellbutrin could be for my condition? Do you recommend any other medication? Do you thing Cymbalta is not ok for me? And what is noradrenaline good for? Thank you for the answer!
