I suffer from Dermatillomania, or the compulsion to pick and and pull on the skin on my thumbs. I peel the skin off my thumbs up to several times per week, tear at my cuticles and often cause my thumbs to bleed and/or throb in pain. I have struggled with this problem for many years, and recently learned it has a name and there are treatments. Do you know how I can find a therapist skilled at providing treatment for this condition? I live in the Boston area.
